“ Guadalajara Eats 2024 #4, Cafe/bakery #20: One of my favorite bakeries not only in Guadalajara but all of Mexico. Have been here 7-8 times and have never had a poor experience. Definitely order a karmelito (or 2) while here (depending on what's available) and a rollo de cacao or cardamomo. The cheesecake and croissants are great as well. If you're more in the mood for something savory, their quiche is great as are their sandwiches. Their hot coffees and cold brews are wonderful here, too. The only thing I've ever ordered that I didn't like was their banana bread. Otherwise, I have thoroughly enjoyed all their offerings. The only knock I can think of is that they seldomly have all their flavors of karmelitos available. It's to be expected though as they're that damn good. Karmele was a major reason I returned to Guadalajara this April. ”
“ I read all the reviews of this place before going. Lots of complaints about service and flies. But I went with an open mind. The service was very friendly and prompt. There was a fly repellant device on the counter and I saw no flies on the pastries. The sweeter things were enclosed in a glass case. I had a ham and cheese croissant. The croissant was perfect. The sandwich was heated properly in an oven so the croissant stayed crispy. I could taste the quality of the olive oil in the salad dressing. Great place, reasonable prices. Lots of people working on their laptops inside, but plenty of space still. I will com back. ”
“ The Karmelitas were the MOST amazing pastries I have ever had and I’ve traveled many places. All were delicious but the guayaba is something special and I would consider this a MUST try when visiting Guadalajara. Wish I could take back home to the Caribbean which is where we traveled from! ”
“ Great bakery with a wide selection of cake and savery food. And the coffee is very good. And they have V60! :) ”
“ The best almond croissants I have had probably ever. What a hidden gem! ”
